3 Tips on Choosing a Great Promotional Products



I am often asked what's new in promotional products. While it's exciting to be on the cutting edge of something, new doesn't always mean effective for all industries and companies.

There are several other factors to consider when choosing the right promotional product for your campaign.  Here are a few things that should be considered before jumping on the "newest" promotional product.

Who is your target audience?
You want to be sure that your item will be used by the recipient.  This helps to ensure staying power and increases the number of times your recipient will see your logo and be reminded of your product or service. Will the item create the desired effect?

How to Determine Your Advertising Budget


While doing research on the "right" amount of money to set aside for a marketing budget,  I found this great article on entrepreneur.com.  This information would be helpful for my own business and might come in handy when discussing budgets with my clients.  (A free spreadsheet is offered below.)


As you might suspect, there are no shortage of theories to apply to this one concept.  I decided to use the explanation and calculations given in the article.  It seemed to be well thought out and followed a simple 3 step formula.  Being the Excel geek I am, I had to create a spreadsheet.  This makes it easy to play around with different scenarios and will be a useful tool while having the same discussions with my clients.
