Spring Break

It's been awhile since I posted so I thought since I am home this entire week I should be able to find time.

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I took the week off because my two kids are home on Spring Break this week. We've had a great time. So far we've gone to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D which was very cute! I was amazed at how well the 3D feature really worked. We spent an afternoon at Chuck E Cheese. The kids had a lot of fun winning hundreds of tickets to trade them in for a "prize". Of course, the kids had their eyes on the top row prizes where you needed 10,000 tickets (I can't imagine spending that much time there!!) but finely settled for items within their range, which of course had to involve candy. Yesterday we went bowling with some friends and then to Chik-Fil-A for lunch. The kids ran around in the playground for over an hour. I was hoping to go to the beach with them this week, unfortunately, it has dipped back down into the high 30's at night and barely hits 60 during the day. I think today it should hit 80. If that's true we should be able to go and get some great pictures and play at the beach today.

We've played lots of board games in between; Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders (and backward Chutes and Ladders), and Connect 4.

Last night, I watched Marley and Me with my husband. What a great movie!! There were so many hysterical parts that made me laugh at loud. Of course, there were some REALLY sad parts too. I had actually read the book a couple years ago but never attempted to read the last few chapters because I knew they would be heart wrenching and just couldn't put myself through that. My son is a HUGE dog lover and really wants to see the movie. I wish I could let him see the movie but we're not going to do that. Considering he cried for days over E.T., I think the end of the movie would be way to much for him. Maybe someday when he's older.

Well, the kids will be getting up soon and they are going to want to know what I have planned for the day. I guess I should figure it out pretty quick!
