Today's Featured Etsy Shop

Susy, a happy mommy of two wonderful kids, decided to initiate her online bussines to sell what she loves to make by hand...

What was started as a hobby few years ago, now is her part time job.She loves to make wearable art and accesories inspired in colors and nature. If you’re just looking for that perfect jewelry accent to go with your casual wear, you can find a whole range of designs at her Etsy Shop.

The Art Pendants are handmade using wood, clay or silver frames, all of them decoupaged with beautiful papers and coated with Jewelry Grade Resin, which is a very hard and durable material. They are water and alcohol resistant and has a lustrous and soft glass like finish, you will love it.

You get to choose the stringing material — leather, organza ribbon, satin or suede leather cord — so you can get the look you like. Her most recent work is a selection of one of a kind Reversible Pendant Necklaces, handcrafted using recycled papers with beautiful designs. They are a limited edition - only 18 - and are listed in her shop at great prices and FREE SHIPPING Worldwide... Take a look! There are also copper wire jewelry pieces if you are looking for something different to wear.

Featuring BKDSignature

Today I'd like to feature a fellow UWIB (Unique Women in Business) member. If you are a "woman in business" this is a great way to get the word out and receive great feedback from others. Join today!

BKDSignature is owned by Beegrl88, but don't get confused by her Etsy username! Contrary to popular belief, her username is not named after the bug - it's actually a nickname! She can be found at http://www.beegrl88.etsy.com and http://www.bkdsignature.wordpress.com. Her Facebook Biz Page is named BKD Signature.

She is a college student looking for a means to make money to help her pay for her college expenses. She loves arts and crafts, and recently decided to expand her craft repertoire to include crocheting, sewing, and glass pendants. She will gladly fill custom orders!

She grew up loving making crafts and working with her hands. As a kid, she wished she could do it all day, but recognized she didn't need all those crafts lying around. Last year, her friend introduced her to Etsy. She was hooked. She finally had found the outlet she was searching for all her life! She can enjoy making her crafts, but find good homes for them all since she doesn't need them (just like she doesn't need all the calories from the oodles of baking she does, LOL). She can now craft with a passion and share that with the world. While she's using the profit to pay for college, sharing the joy of handmade and knowing that she is making customers happy is the bigger priority for her. Making money is just a perk. Unfortunately, she is a perfectionist and will spend hours making sure her work is perfect. Those that aren't, she keeps. She is always open to feedback to make her crafting more appealing! Anyways, she is here more for spreading the love than receiving the money.

Blog Exchange

In an effort to get the word out about my blog and Etsy shop and support other small businesses in return, I've come up with a "Blog Post" exchange.

If you are interested, I've outlined the basic steps involved below:

Step 1 - Create a short story about your website (please don't use I, me or mine, since someone else (my site) will be publishing the story).

Step 2 - Email your summary and 2-3 pictures to me at deniellelue (at) yahoo (dot) com; include your email address so that I can send my summary and pictures to be posted on your site.

Step 3 - We will agree on the date that the posts will be published. The website feature should be the top blog item for at least 24 hours.

If you are interested in exchanging posts or have any questions send me an email!
