Etsy Success

I am so excited! I received my first official Etsy sale yesterday. As a huge thank you to my very first buyer, Brenda, I would like to feature her websites in today's blog.

GreenishPink.com is geared towards natural, green living but hopefully in a way that makes it realistic for people with busy families. Her site also features great ideas for themed family movie nights. Through GreenishPink.com Brenda is an affiliate for Earth Mama Angel Baby, Our Green House and Kelly's Closet.

Earth Mama Angel Baby offers all-natural, organic items for expecting, new and seasoned moms as well as baby. If you know someone that is pregnant or gave birth recently, this is a great pampering, gift idea!

Our Green House has about everything you need - in ORGANIC!! Everything from sunscreen to household cleaners to pest control to toys to gifts.

Kelly's Closet offers a great selection (along with reviews) on cloth diapers. The links for all these great shops are on the left hand side of her webpage.

Brenda also manages the Purely Natural Minerals website. She is a consultant for Affordable Mineral Makeup™ offering all natural mineral makeup (face, eyes, cheeks, etc) along with many other items like all natural mascara, organic lip products, all natural eyeliner, makeup brushes, etc. One of the great things about Affordable Mineral Makeup™ is they are a green company (they don't print needless catalogs, etc) and their makeup is great for your skin, in over 100 different colors. They are one of the only makeup companies whose makeup does not contain bismuth, fillers, talc, nanoparticles, micronized minerals or paraben.

Please join me in thanking Brenda and check out her sites! Thank you Brenda!

So Much Sewing

I had a very productive weekend. I was able to finish a couple coordinating burp cloths, finished another Buttercup Bag, pre-cut my mom's Polka Dot Buttercup Bag and started showing my 6 year old daughter how to sew. We made a headband together, it came out really cute.

My friend Amy came over Saturday to bedazzle her "mom's shirt" for her son who made the all-star baseball team, while I sewed. We had a good time and hope to do it again soon!

My only regret this weekend is that I didn't get out in the sun! At least I will be on vacation one week from tomorrow. I am looking forward to late nights sewing but will need to ban myself from my sewing room during the day so that I am sure to get the kids outside! It's so easy to intend on sewing for an hour and totally lose track of time. I look forward to afternoon's in the pool with the kids!

Have a great week!
