Thank God for Weekends!

I am looking forward to having a relaxing yet productive weekend.  My daughter and I are headed to the beach with friends later today so I hope the rain holds off until much later.

I finally started school supply shopping last night.  Now I need to get my daughter's lunch bag made (especially since there is only about 2 weeks left before school starts!).  I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by!  I'll post pictures later this weekend.

I also need to finish hand stitching the binding to the baby quilt I've been working on.  I think I've milked that long enough!  I'll post pictures of the finished product as soon as they are available.

Weekend Challenge = Success!

After an additional trip to the fabric store yesterday morning and some colorful language, I have successfully completed the quilt top complete with embroidered binding! After this project, I have to say I am even more in love with my embroidery machine!!

It's not completely done yet. I still have to add the soft chenille backing but that will be the easy part! I can't wait to deliver this later this week. I hope they are as happy with it as I am!

I plan to make another one for my new nephew that is due in late September. I'd like to include his name and birth date and will have think of something for the other 2 sides. Leave me a comment with any suggestions you have!!
