Buttercup Bags for Sale!

The Creator of the Buttercup Bag has begun selling licenses to the pattern! Needless to say, I have purchased a license and will begin selling them starting now! There are now 2 different sizes available, I will post the exact measurements later today. I just wanted to get this great news out as soon as possible. I will be selling the bags (and other items) online in my Etsy shop. Which can be accessed here by clicking this link www.skiptomylue.etsy.com. I am in the very beginning phase of this process, so my Etsy shop needs a lot of work. Items will be posted for sale soon, or custom requests can be emailed to me directly.

Thank you in advance for your support!

More Buttercup Bags!

I started 2 Buttercup bags last night and finished them up this morning just in time for Mother's Day. The brown/green bag was a gift for my mom, she was surprised. This is a great pattern and very easy to follow, visit Made by Rae blogsite for the pattern. I just found out that she made some alterations to the pattern so that the bag can be made a bit larger, I'll have to give that a whirl next weekend.

Finished gold/brown drapes

Once again, it's been too long since I've updated but for good reason. I have been quite busy sewing over the last few weeks. I finished "re-creating" a pair of drapes. This was a much larger job than I initially calculated. The curtains started as a solid gold tone panel (the middle portion of the curtain in the picture). I added the brown fabric to all 4 sides to increase the overall width and length, I made tab tops for the top and then lined the insides. I have to say, I am quite pleased with how they came out and so were my customers.

Visit my Flickr site to see additional photos. (These are hanging in my kitchen just to test their look, I am waiting for the "final" pictures.)
