Catching a Leprechaun

We were supposed to start Ryan's science project and Maddie's Leprechaun trap on Saturday. Instead we went with some friends to the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. It is a neat place. Lots of hands on fun for the kids.

Thought I would share pictures of the Leprechaun trap that Maddie and Paul made today. It is complete with bars of gold and a gold colored bed so the Leprechaun can get comfortable after he's caught. According to Maddie's teacher, the Leprechaun's name is Lenny. I think they did a great job on the trap.

Ryan and I made some great progress on his science project today. He has to determine what type of paper airplane flys furthest, one made with regular printer paper or cardstock. I'll post pictures of the finished project next weekend.

I spent a lot of time sewing (YAY!!) this weekend. I managed to piece 30 12" blocks together, now I just have to sew them all together to form the quilt top. Right now it looks like a "hodge podge" of fabric but I think after I get the turquoise border on it will all come together.

I hope Maddie catches a leprechan with real gold so we can all quit our jobs and have nothing but fun stuff to do!

Love the quilt top. It will look great with the turq border.
That was so nice of Maddie to include a bed in her trap. It looks like the leprechan will be very comfortable.
